Congratulations to Ben Aaronovitch
We haven't done much over the past year to live up to the official name of this blog, so time to change that. Aaro's younger brother Ben (the one who wrote a few 'Dr Who' episodes) has published his first novel Rivers of London to good reviews. (Just as well, as he's already written the sequel.)
We congratulate him.

Eh? Does Transit not count?
Ah Transit - sigh.
I'm surprised that Del Rey is going with the generic title Midnight Riot for the US. I think sticking with Rivers of London would probably result in more sales (snap up the Anglophiles for one, especially with a respectable cover), although maybe it's preventing people thinking it's a guide to obscure walks or something.
While we're getting meta, I note that AW alumni Sarah Ditum is in the big successful column of CommentIsShite today. And it's a good article, well defended in teh comments. Sarah, we salute you!
