I suppose, fair's fair, that means there is one dimension along which HP comes out better than Crooked Timber. That explanation would surely not be forthcoming on the latter site, either because considered infra dig., or because it would be assumed to contain some (odd) number of layers of irony.
But then if CT is more clever-clever than HP it is also much more clever as a recent cross-contributor here went some way to demonstrating.
Actually, that's not quite right as (CC's momentary brainstorm not withstanding) the unwillingness to correct silly remarks is I suspect partly a function of being busy with other things, and more importantly serves the purpose of discouraging idiots (again, I stress CC's error was obviously abberrant and I am not calling him an idiot!) - something that HP doesn't seem to be concerned with.
So this comment is self-cancelling. Do not read it.
