Another Side of Chris Hitchens
I shared HP Sauce's delight at George Galloway making a prat of himself in the Big Brother House. Didn't they think of it as the moment when he lost all credibility? I wonder what they would have written if Galloway had appeared like this?

As I've said before, I can't understand why doing cat impressions is supposed to lose one one's credibility. I do several dozen cat impressions on any given day.
I attempted to balance and extend myself in the same way, only to find that I was seized by the sensation that I might die or go mad at any moment.
Having been in the presence of Hitchens, I'd have to ask how would you tell?
I'm with EJH on this one. It would seem that these days you can say the most ludicrous and illogical things and still keep your "credibility", which is then lost by being filmed wearing a leotard or a face-mask. Hitch should have lost all credibility with his article saying that the Left should support the invasion of Iraq because Kissinger opposes it (and the Observer shouldn't have printed it); but he still carries on. George's political logic is very weak, but is rarely examined.
What is it with the Decents ansd health kicks (see DA, passim.)?
